This collection consists of writings, correspondence, notebooks, journals, papers related to appearances and readings, printed materials, writings of others, photographs, personal papers, artwork, computer media, and audiovisual materials by or related to author Jaqueline Woodson. Writings comprise the bulk of the collection, documenting Woodson's writings for children, young adults, and adults, spanning novels including Another Brooklyn (Harper Collins, 2016), Brown Girl Dreaming (Penguin, 2014), and Miracle's Boys (Penguin, 2000), and picture books including We Had a Picnic This Sunday Past (Hyperion, 1997), Show Way (Putnam, 2005), and The Day You Begin (Nancy Paulsen Books, 2018). Many drafts include annotations and corrections by Woodson and editor Nancy Paulsen. Writings also include works for stage and screen, speeches, short stories, and poetry.
